World Mental Health Day
Scottish Asian Counselling Services took part in World Mental Health Day at the new Parkhead Hub, following an invitation from the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership.
The event brought together a wide range of organisations working across health, wellbeing and community support. Being present allowed us to connect with local services, share information about culturally responsive mental health support, and engage in meaningful conversations with members of the public. Events like this highlight the importance of outreach and partnership working. By coming together in shared spaces, organisations can reach more people, improve access to support, and strengthen community networks. The Parkhead Hub itself reflects this approach — bringing services under one roof to make help more accessible for individuals and families. Opportunities like this reinforce our commitment to representation, inclusion, and community wellbeing through visible, community-based outreach.
