Workshops & Education

We deliver psychoeducational workshops and talks focused on mental health, wellbeing and reducing cultural stigma. These sessions are designed for communities, schools, faith spaces and organisations, and combine psychological knowledge with culturally meaningful discussion.

Workshops may cover topics such as understanding mental health, emotional resilience, parenting, youth wellbeing, trauma awareness, and accessing support. Sessions are interactive, accessible and tailored to the needs of the audience.

FAQs

What are SACS workshops?

Our workshops are supportive, educational sessions that explore mental health topics in a culturally informed way. They help people learn skills, reduce stigma, and feel less alone.

Workshops are not therapy sessions. They are structured wellbeing and psychoeducation sessions which may include tools and strategies—without personal therapeutic work or ongoing clinical support.

Our workshops are designed for South Asian communities, but we welcome anyone who connects with the themes and values of our work. Some workshops are tailored for specific groups such as women, young people, or older adults.

We do encourage group interaction where possible, as sharing (even a little) can help you feel less alone, learn from others, and get more value from the session. You will never be pressured to speak before you’re ready.

Confidentiality is very important to us. We clearly explain this before the session begins and set group guidelines to encourage privacy, respect and safety for everyone attending.

Some workshops are free or funded, while others may have a small cost depending on the programme and venue. If you’d like more information about a specific workshop, please get in touch with us via the contact form and we’ll be happy to advise.
